Why does my kitten have such bad gas?

My kitten is about 8 1/2 weeks old. She is on food especially made for kittens. And, she always has gas! I don't know why, though. My dad keeps giving her hot dogs and the other day he gave her a Cheeto. She had gas shortly after that. But even when my dad DOESN'T give her anything, she still has gas really bad. Is it her food? Oh, yeah, and it's not just farting, she burps a lot too. Ewwwww. Why?
