Android Phone Keeps Connecting then Deconnecting to PC?

Whenever my Motorola Triumph is connected to my PC (Windows7) it will connect for about 1 second, then it thinks the device is removed for about 1 second, then it connects again and keeps repeating until I finally unplug the phone from my computer. I cannot even locate anything on my device because its not recognized long enough for it to connect! Please post a comment if you have ANYTHING that will help, thanks.
