Dilema : my google search engine is not working... ?

for example i go to google.com and put a search entry it'll brink up all the diff links and I'll try to go to a link and instead of taking me to that link it'll take me to another search engine...I have no idea what happnd well my 3 yr old got on my laptop and I'm sure that has something to do with it...does anyone know how to fix this... please help!
