feeding and constipated?

i have a 2 month old baby and since one month im constipated with big hard stools...... through out pregnancy i had no constipation wth normal stools......shall i continue to take stool softner or shall i stop bf my baby?? why is ths happening?? really get pains bec of ths.any remedy or why ths happening now after my baby birth?
