How do you switch a Ball Python to frozen thawed rats?

I got a ball python at a reptile expo. The breeder said he would take frozen thawed. I fed him some live mice and rats when i was trying to find a place to get food. I got some frozen rats and he wouldn't eat them. I tried feeding him 3 live of tongs and he still wouldn't eat frozen thawed.
